Hello

Al`s Hut`s would suit what you are looking for..Copy & paste this link for some reviews

http://www.sawadee.com/hotel/samui/alshut/review.html

Another place to look at is Ark Bar & Garden Resort. This is one of the most popular spots on Chaweng Beach. The Ark Bar itself is one of the livliest places in Chaweng & a great place to meet people.Copy & paste this link for some reviews

Hi... I was in Samui in September 2007 and stayed at the Malibu Beach Resort ... its about 50 metres down the road from Al's Huts.

We walked past Al's Huts a few times and they look OK... but very basic... no pool etc.

Last year Al's Huts and the Malibu were about the same price range ... I have just got my prices together to return to Samui this year and we are heading straight back to the Malibu again... best prices seem to be on the asiarooms website.

I have some pics from our stay there if they would help you.
Email me.. jdawilliams@tyco-valves.com if you want them or any other info.

Cheers

Malibu Resort is great and does have a small pool. If you are not into noise the whole night long (till past midnight), then Ark Bar may not be your choice. It is the livest place but the music is rather loud and the sound does carry to the rooms.

You can also look at hotels from this page:
