Im cycling thru Argentina and should be arriving in Ushuaia mid april. Ive read some reports about the winds but they fail to really explain them. Are they really bad, should I plan for extra travel days beacuse if the wind? how about the weather in gral?

winds can be very strong in patagonia but many people have done similar trips as yours by bicycle and have survived. the winds normally won't be in your face as you will be heading south and they generally travel west to east. the worst winds usually end in february so your timing is ideal. i think you are going to have a rough time no matter what while you are on the pampas especially around rio gallegos. good luck, let us know how it goes.
