Corpus Christi Swimming in January
Posted: Fri December 28, 2007 03:52 PM UTC
Happy New Year(in advance)!

I will be in Corpus Christi at the end of January 2008; I'd
like to go swimming in the ocean.

Is this possible or will it be too cold?

Thank You.

It'll be warmer than the oceans (the Gulf of Mexico not an ocean by any means). It really depends on the weather around that time, I think. Since the Gulf is small, it's more affected by temporary weather changes, and that region has wild winters: you could have cloudy and 40's one day, sunny and 70's the next.
For the beach, you can hit Port Aransas/Mustang Island or North Padre. Both are nice and will be relatively deserted in January.
