Warsaw Travel Forum

I've been to Warsaw a few times, done the city tour, visited the ghetto, Old Town, and the Uprising museum and was hoping some of you may have recommendations on other things to see. Preferably historical sights.

Of course a trip to Warsaw would not be complete without shopping. I've been to Arkadia and the mall near the Marriot and would like to try something else. Ladies, do you have any recommendations?

To top off my trip, I would like to see an orchestra, concert, and/or theater production while in town. Is there any performances? If so, where should I look? I will be in Warsaw from Dec 29th to Jan. 3rd and would appreciate any advice.

Have a look at my Warsaw page, perhaps some of the places will interest you. It's not complete, mind you. But I don't know if you have been to the Lazienki Palace and Park, and to the Wilanow Palace. However, many museums are closed on 1.01. There are many concerts and theatre performances but all the theatres have their individual web pages, mostly in Polish only.
One concert that you could attend will take place in St Anne's Church (Krakowskie Przedmiescie 68 next to Plac Zamkowy) this Sunday at 5 pm.
J.S.Bach 'Weihnachts Oratorium'. Admission free.
As for the shops I'm afraid I cannot advise you, not being fashion-conscious.

You can visit Wilanow castle, Lazienki park... Maybe some events will be in Palace of Culture and Science.

Some shoping centres: Zlote terasy, Galeria Centrum, Galeria Mokotow. If you want to buy clothes you can try good Polish brands Damex, Solar, Vistula, Reserved etc.
I would recomend to do day trip to some other town, for example old town of Kazimierz Dolny.
