well, most of the hotel websites say that the island is comletely booked. My question is" are there places on koh phi phi that take walkin's? I don't have a hotel reservation, should i be worried?I will be going in mid-january which is peak season.

I was told by friends who are visiting that Phi Phi island is pretty much all booked in December and early Jan because of a limited number of accommodation. However, there are some guesthouses that you can try your luck, but I doubt they will have anything availability in New Years Eve. But Mid-Jan, you will almost definitely find something! Good Luck

It can be difficult during that time but if you take the early ferry you can get off the island again in case you can't find anything. It is not too difficult to fery between Krabi and Ko Phi Phi (same for Phuket i guess) so you can always try another day (or make a reservation when you are there and come back for it)
