I saw last time quite nice promotion from Warsaw to Seychelles via Paris.
The flight price is quite acceptable (400 Euro). However as my budget is limited I try to find out some basic info about these islands. What are the prices there ? What does the standard dinner/lunch for 1 person costs there ? What are the costs of travelling inside one island and between islands ? Do you know any acceptable hotel/guesthouse (B&B) up to 50 USD per single room ? Are credit cards are commonly acceptable ? Is it better to use credit cards or cash ? |

Costs on accomodation will depend on when you intend to travel.
I suggest you take a look at the following sites to have a idea: http://www.seychelles-resa.com/default.asp http://www.mauritius-seychelles.com/ These were the prices for inter-island trasportation I used a couple of years ago: Inter-island flight MAHE - PRASLIN.............. 54EUR Ferry PRASLIN - LA DIGUE - PRASLIN.......... 20EUR Catamaran cat Cocos PRASLIN - MAHE.....................40EUR These prices may have increase a bit meanwhile. I booked through the first site above after an enquiry and all worked out fine. You pay with CCard and they send all vouchers by e-mail. Regards Maria

Thera are accomaodations ranging from Euro 50 for a single with breakfast and Euro 95 for a double with breakfast. My husband and i stayed at Jamelah Apartments and because we stayed for 7 nights we paid Euro 85 per night for 2 of us with a simple continental breakfast of just tea and coffee, plus some toasts and jam with a small glass of juice. These apartment were self catering so we cooked some basic meals and saved on the dinner. This can be about 20 - 30 Euro in a basic restaurant per person for a proper meal. and during lunch times we had take aways which are about 2-3 Euro a box which is very decent and is enough for one person. There is also a bus system where one trip to anywhere cost Euro 1 for 2 people. You can rent a car for Euro 40 per day and it is ok ti get around except the roads are quite narrow and you have to be careful with large trucks and buses coming the othre way. For the other islands the fare is Eoru 80 one way on the catamaran to the 2nd biggest island. But we stayed on Mahge so we hope one day to go back and explore further. I find that cash was more acceptable though all basic amaenities has to be paid in foreign exchange such as accomodation, rental car ,excursions and transfer to another island.

charges are 80 Euro per night for a single room. Dinner will begin from around Euro 10 per person onwards. Or you can buy take away food for only 2.50 Euro with various creole dishes. Most hoptel will charge between 5-7% bank charges if paid by credit card. Cash payment carry no bank charges.
