are there any shops or bazzars on phi phi ,similar to chaweng on samui, or is it just resorts.
also what sort of condition is phi phi like after the tsunami.is it worth staying at the holiday inn for a week.

PP has been up and running to full capacity for quite a while now. Minimal shopping nothing like Chewang. There is not a lot to do other than relaxing on the beautiful beaches the best time is after all the tourists leave in the afternoon then you can visit the many restaurants and bars. A week if all you want to do is chill or dive if not a couple of days.

As said above, Phi phi is in great condition. Difficult to say that something so awful happened there. There are shops where you can buy everything from vegetables, fruits to trinkets in phi phi, however, I found the stuff expensive as compared to Phuket. If you want an idyllic week, phi phi is the place to be coz there is nothing much to do except rock climbing, snorkelling and diving in terms of activities. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and was quite sad when I had to leave :)
