First Time Visitor Visa Requirements

Hello Fellow VT's

I know this has been coverd before, however as I am getting conflicting advice, could someone please clarify the first time visa requirements for me.

Both my wife and I are Kiwi (New Zealander's)and we will be passing thro' Kuwait in Oct 08. We would like to spend 3 nights in Kuwait.

I understand that the Kuwait Govt. will allow citizens of New Zealand to obtain a visa upon arrival at Kutait Airport.

However some web sites I have read talk about the need to be sponsored.

My confusion is, are these sites "out of date" or not very clear in relation to those who get a visa upon arrival and those who cannot?

Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated - thank you

No need for a sponsor if you have one of 34 nationalites elligible (New Zealanders are).
Just go to the visa counter, pay your 5 KWD and you're off. The visa is valid for 3 months. Be prepared for about 1/2 to 1 hour of queuing though, if a lot of other people are also applying at the same time.
