Could anyone tell me, will i need to buy another visa? When going back to Luxor. As i paid for one last visit in February 2007. And i am going back this January 11 months later.I was under the impression it would last 12 months.

I don't know about Luxor, but some requirements, and a good idea anyway, is to have a visa lasting a few months beyond your stay. If you get injured or something happens, it creates a whole new major problem. Even just for peace of mind, it's a good idea to have a new visa. My pennies worth anyway, on the general issue. Pam.

I'm fairly sure the ordinary $15 tourist visa is good only for a month, one visit. (If it was good for a year I've just given the Egyptian Government an unecessary fifteen balloons.)

If you got your visa on arrival in the country it was for one month
If you got your visa before you arrived it was valid for 3 months from inception but them on arrival for one month If you renewed you visa for 12 months approx 91le unless you added an reentry visa another 61le and a red stamp then it expired when you left the country
