Cook Islands spending money

also, i had a friend that went and she said there isn't really anything much to buy there and you don't spend alot of money.
I was going to take $2500 for 2 of us, there for 6 nights, does any1 no if this would be enough?
i have looked at the activites we want to do and they come to about $400.

You certainly do not need a great deal of money in Cook Islands, as you have heard, there is not great deal to spend it on, but if you need to spend money then go to Papeete or Vegas, otherwise be content in enjoying the peacefulness
and beauty of the island, particularly Raratonga. Go to church on Sunday whether you are a christian or not, and listen to the beautiful singing by the natives, without any mechanical instrumentation, or just take a local bus ride around the island, and don't be surprised if the bus suddenly deviates from it's route and plunges into the interior foliage. You may think you are being hijacked, but surprised when the driver calls at his home to pick up his lunch.
Take a boat ride around the island, but if you wish to fly to Atutaki, that will cost you a few greenbacks, but for six days , just go to Raratonga and relax, and you will love the place.

I totally agree with the last poster. The only thing that is really expensive in the cooks is supermarket food!
