Hello,
My girlfriend and I are planning to be in Panama city December 31, and are looking for the best quality and location hotel room below $40. Do you have any recommendations? |

My first choice would be Euro Hotel, for about 38 USD for 2 person. eurohotelpanama.com
it's in the Bella Vista area, close to everything and relatively safe . We stayed in that area for almost 5 days last week. Then not far from there , you can try Costa Inn. Marparaiso Hotel has free transport from airport to hotel. They also have a booth at the arrival floor at the Albrook bus station. We stayed for several nights on two occasions last January at the Aparthotel Las Vegas. You can get a room there for about 45. It is in the middle of the El Cangrejo district. It is safe, fun (casinos if you like across the street) and some good restaurants. Tip: upgrade to suite w/ private balcony for about 58.
Bella Vista as mentioned is also good. There is a great Cuban restaurant there.
