What is the going price for a Kriek or Duvel at a local bar? Any good beer pubs to hit? Not touristy.

That is a good question. Now I realize I never actually look how much a beer costs when I go to a bar. But I think a Kriek should be 1,5 or 2 euro and a Duvel about 2,5 euro?

Non-touristic bars I often go are the 'Monk' (http://www.ebru.be/Cafes/CafMonk.html) and the 'Roskam' (http://www.cafe-roskam.be). They're close to each other and in the centre.

The last time I was in Brussels I paid in El Metteko (Anspach) between 2,5 and 3 euros as far as I can remember:-)

The cost of beer is my first question because that is why I am going there. To drink beer.

No price is going to stop me from drinking beer, that's why I never look. :-)

I don't know the prices at local bars but €3.50-4.50 would be the price in a restaurant, this one is on the Grand' Place so you couldn't get more touristy: http://www.caveduroy.com/Gb/MenuGb.html. That gives you a guide to the maximum, although I wouldn't necessarily avoid all touristy places if you want to try different beers: it would be a shame to miss La Mort Subite, for instance - Mort Subite being also a brand of Kriek.
If by any chance you want to try a Trappist beer from Westvleteren, the only place you can get it in Brussels (in limited quantities) is supposed to be Bier Circus, 57 rue de l'Enseignement, 1000 Bxl - near the Cirque Royal, between Botanique/Parc and Madou metro stations: closed Sunday, Monday and Saturday lunchtime.
A great beer pub that isn't touristy at all, being well off the beaten tourist track, is Beermania on ch. de Wavre, see map under contact details on http://www.beermania.be/allnewbm.php?pcon=Contact. You can take the 95 bus from next to the Bourse, get off at the stop called Parnasse (the one after Trône), walk up to the traffic lights and turn right, it will be where that street curves to the right).

I don't drink beer so can't help out on the price. But one beer bar not to be missed by those who love it is the Moeder lambic - it's out of the centre, just behind the town hall in St Gilles (Tram 4, 55, 23, 81 Horta)... a tiny dusty corner, full of atmosphere and students, and rarely a tourist in sight!
