I'd like a mid-range hotel in Siem Reap..close enough to walk to the nightlife..but hopefully quiet...just a nice, decent mid-range would be nice..

I stayed at the City River Hotel. It's in a quiet location by the river and a 5 minute walk to the markets & nightlife. They even upgraded me to a VIP room without asking for it.

try the bopha of ankor - its just outside the market area on the other side of the river and is very friendly, has a great little pool and price is very reasonable.

I'm just back from Siem Reap. I stayed at Home Sweet Home. Without air conditioner it cost you $10. Clean. Friendly.

I would go for ther Angkor Village Hotel or if you want a bit of luxury to relax after a day at the temples, Angkor Village resort.They are both really nice and have a website so you can book online.
