I have to travel from Brussels airport to Bruges late in the afternoon on the 21. Dec. Any idea why I can do this?

There are direct trains between Brussels airport and Brugge.
The last one is around 23h50

You can buy your ticket online.
A single fare is 12 euro, a return fare (same day) is 24 euro.
The trip takes just over an hour to 1.20 mins depending on which train to take.
From about 17 hrs, the website shows a warning saying: "A lack of seats is possible due to a rush of passengers"

21th is a friday. If you leave Brussels after 19h and returning before sunday evening, you can ask for a weekend-ticket (50% reduction).

--> Special: for the end-of-year, the weekend ticket is valid until sunday 06/01/08 !!!
