what are the different beach in bohol? (kindly specify for me if it's public beach of private beach, thank you =) ) all i know is the alone beach.

Dumaluan beach - is this public or private beach? any feedback on this place?

Alona Beach - for February 1st-2nd week, is the beach crowded?

I'm planning to go around next February 1st or 2nd week. Is the weather okay or it's too cold for me to hang around the beach. My target is to stay in a resort that has a private beach (public beach is okay, but I hope it won't be that crowded) and a good place to relax. I don't care if the resort has no party bars.

The 2 known beaches in Panglao are Alona beach and Dimaluan beach. I suggest you go to Alona beach since you will have a lot of resort choices there. February is a good time and it will not be cold at all. Weather should be really good then and it won't be too hot either. Alona is not a crowded place unlike Boracay. If you are into just hanging out on the beach, this is the best choice. Try Alona Tropical Resort for accommodation. See my page for details. They have the best beach front in the area and the price for the rooms is quite reasonable.

There are many beaches in Bohol but the two most popular are found in Panglao Island -- Dumaluan (there's a public beach here) and Alona (scuba divers' favorite beach). Among Dumaluan's resident resorts, Bohol Beach Club is the most luxurious. It's counterpart at Alona, is the upscale Alona Palm Resort. I havent there but I think that resort has the best beach front/ strip at the southern part of Alona Beach.

Dumaluan beach is mostly public and has a nice stretch of white sand both in and out of the waters with a gentle slope seawards. Good for swimming and floating. Bohol beach club lies on one end which is a private area. On the other end , the corrals starts to dot the underneath the waters as you go the direction of the mainland. A bit busy during weekends, but february will be a quite time.

Alona beach area has good white sands also , but its waters are dotted with good corral formation and and some dive resorts in the area call the area as their own "in house" dive site. quiet the whole week.

Panglao island resort is a private beach resort but stress is on the resort and not on its beach area. more secluded and private.

Usually saturdays and sundays are the only time when the beach gets busy but not crowded.

dumaluan beach has two beach resort one is private and the other is public. the place is quite and very affordable, it has a wide beach front with pool and free breakfast. Panglao island nature resort is a private resort located at panglao island and facing cebu. the rooms are qiute expensive and does'nt have a nice beach front compare to dumaluan. the weather is very good during that month.
