Hi Rob
It's been pretty warm in Adelaide over the past few months. More so than usual. Light clothes in summer are the go. We are not as casual in clothing compared to other states in Australia. In terms of work, smart casual is the go. A light jumper is always usful for the evenings. Hope you enjoy it here.

Some things are quite pricey here in Sydney...I'd make sure you get some nicely N American priced:
Jeans ($30 Levis I get in Chicago cost $130 over here) Nikes (sooo much more expensive here) Razor Blades Sun tan lotion!!! A Banana Boat tube is about US$14 here. Oh, and don't forget to sew your Canadian flag into your backpack. ;) Hope that helps.

Your bible, as it is known as the city of churches:)
A wine glass, as it also has a huge amount of wineries to visit:) Don't worry about wearing a watch, as time moves slowly in Adelaide:) If you haven't already got an idea about the game of cricket, a book of rules could be handy:)Tis the season of that game. A supply of fly/mossie repellent:) A stubby holder, one with crappy wording on it will do:) Hangover remedies will also be needed!! If you are going to Adelaide for the summer months ( Now) light clothes, as well as a warm jacket and jeans. It does get bloody hot there, BUT it also can turn cold without warning. Have a great time in Adelaide.

Depending on what sort of work you are looking to get, I would advise to pack a decent pair of black pants and shoes and a shirt if you need to go and have interviews. If you are doing the normal Fruit picking/beer pouring jobs, then obviously this wont be necessary.
