| Copenhagen | Metro card Posted: Wed December 12, 2007 11:19 AM UTC
Hi again. I will be in Copenhagen next week for 3 days. (Actually I want to go to Malmö for half a day so basically 2.5 days.) Is it worth buying a card for 10 rides for the transportation or is sightseeing within walking distance from the central station? And I would appreciate any recommendations on where to go and what to do at this time of the year apart from the ones I've read in Copenhagen pages. Thanx!

I usually walk to everywhere when in Copenhagen, never used the metro except maybe a ride back to the hotel at the end of the day if I was very tired/it was too cold.

Hi
Yes its a good idea to get a 10 ride card (120DDK). You most likely use 4 rides to and from the airport then you have 6 rides left to litte transports around town or to some site away from the city. http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/af0bd/27987/9/

I'd say it depends on where your hotel is and where you're going. Sometimes it can be cheaper to pay as you go.

Ops I forgot you can use the metro now from/to the airport (on my last visit it was not running yet, just for a few days) so now... yes it probably makes sense
(Hi Allan!! ;))

Wow. Last time I went to Copenhagen you had to take a train (dunno which one, but it wasn't a metro) so that's certainly good news :)
