| Vermont | how long in advance ???????????? Posted: Tue December 11, 2007 02:34 PM UTC
I'm planning to go to Woodstock next year for the foliage season. I know I'll have to book a hotel in advance, but how long in advance would you say? Are we talking one month here? Two? Six?

I am from Vermont, and now only live there in summer. But I have spent the last 40 years there. The real question will be : When is the peak of the season? It could be anywhere from the last week of September, to the second week of October. I have never stayed in Woodstock, since I lived here in Vermont, but I would think 6 months might be required to get decent lodging. When Foliage seasons arrives there is always TV news talking about people not having any place to stay because everything is full.

Tks. jonellis. I'll book in the very beginning of 08 and that'll be 9 months in advance.
