I find the prices of clothing and shoes , including the brands you mentioned, way cheaper than in Canada. I'd say about 35 to 40 % cheaper for the nike and Puma that I've bought.
For malls, I'd say go to Albrook Mall first and spend at least half a day there to check things out. That mall is huge and has lots of sport wear stores . They have at least 2 Puma store on the first level, imagine that. Just try not to go there on weekends,it's packed like nothing else. The other one you should check out is Multi Plaza Mall. It's a nicer upscale mall with stores like Louis Vuitton as well as other clothing and sport wear stores. We spent half a day there and loved it. The brand name watches such as Nike, Fossil, Diesel are cheaper in Panama too, if that's also your thing. I see lots of La Coste stores in the malls but I have a feeling that Puma rules there... so many stores carry them. If you are not too fuzzy about brand names, check out depratment stores such as Conway ( there's one at Albrook mall ) I bought half a dozen no name t shirts with funky prints on for about 3 bucks a piece. they're worth at least 20 bucks back in North America IMO. Have fun.
