What is the best and least expensive way to get from Kobe, near the Sannomiya Station, to the cruise terminal in Kobe? My information so far is it will cost us about $100 to go by taxi/limo. Are there other alternatives? We are two people and will be travelling with at least 4 pieces of luggage.

Can you handle the luggage by yourself? Then, take "Port Liner" from Sannomiya station. You can reach "Port Terminal" station in 5 min for 200 yen.

I checked the taxi fare from Sannomiya to Port Terminal. It is more or less 1000 yen (about 2 km). I wonder why you got $100 info...

We could probably handle our luggage, but because we will have many pieces, it would be unwieldy and difficult, I think, to move around the station and get everything on and off the train. How long would we have to get on and off? Are these trains very busy? Would we be able to take, say 5-6 pieces of luggage on with us?

As I posted earlier, "Port Terminal" station is the closest to the terminal and this route is not so busy. However, the taxi fare from Sannomiya to the terminal is only about 1000 yen (9 USD). How about using a taxi from your hotel?

We'll probably end up doing that. Right now, I'm trying to get information so that I can make an informed decision on what to do. Thank you for your help.
