Bristol Bristol 31 december

I am going to come in Bristol 3/4 days for the end of the year 2007 with a friend.

For me it's very important to find a vibrant nightlife.
We are italians so we don't need a few drinks. What about the cost to "come in " in the clubs?

Last year i have been in the south, in Bournemouth, the accomodation it wasn't cheaper but the cost of the nightlife was good, 1/2 pouds for "come in" and only in the weekend,so also the cost of the drinks was good of our local standards.

I need any useful information about Bristol clubbing nightlife. thanks

If you mean you are visiting for New Year celebrations, then everywhere will be expensive at this time. And things are very busy near to Christmas. Bristol is much bigger than Bournmouth and you may sometimes pay about 5 GBP to get into the big clubs. But if you arrive early, then often you can get in at no cost. There are also several very nice places which are always free to enter.

It depends on what type of club/music/nightlife you want.

As I say, for New Year's Eve many places will charge admission and maybe sell tickets in advance. You will need to be out early to guarantee getting in somewhere.

As mentioned above if you want to get into a club for New Years Eve you will have to buy a ticket in advance and they're expensive, around £20-25.
I live in Bristol and the average cost is £5 entry on most nights, though I tend to go to bars rather than clubs. A good club is the Thekla, it's an old boat with good live bands playing.
An average cost of lager is about £2-2.50 a pint. I'd recommend you try going out down Park Street, there's lots of bars down there and they're classier than around the Waterfront of in the city centre. Clifton has a lot of 'posh' bars/pubs, more expensive too. There's a few bars down Gloucester Road, that's where a lot of students live so it's quite cheap with lots of restaurants.
