How bad or good an idea is this, what are the roads like and how long does it take? I am also thinking of relocating to Mendoza and would like to have someone show me real estate, nice neighbourhoods, schools for two little girls. All answers are greatly appreciated.

in the summer the road is fine although curvy and mountainous. in the winter the road sometimes closes due to snow and ice. mendoza would be a great place to move to. i don't know what the best areas are necessarily but could find out although i think there are better resources.

I would like to rent a car in Mendoza and drop it in Santiago. Does anyone know if there's a company that will give me a one-way rental?
