Re: Getting to Edinburgh Airport on Boxing Day Posted: Thu December 6, 2007 02:14 PM UTC
The Scottish CityLink website lists a bus that leaves Dundee Seagate at 08.00 and arrives in Edinburgh at 09.45. It is listed as a megabus. If this is the case, then you could hop off before the St Andrew's bus station - don't know where they stop but if all else fails, then you could get off at Haymarket and catch the airport bus from the other side of the road. As I assume that they must use the same stops at the CityLink buses, then you could get off at ...... darn it, I've forgotton the name..... the stop at the big roundabout with the hotel just as you enter Edinburgh. Sorry, but it's the first stop in Edinburgh. Then you could cross the road and get the airport bus. Or, if it is indeed a megabus such as you have caught before, then it is possible that you can do your FerryToll park and ride route.
The trains ervice appears to be onon-existent on the 26th.
The only other suggestions is taxi or car rental.
