Hi,

I and my colleagues will be travelling to Harbin between 24 December 2007 - 31st December. i've travelled to Beijing last winter sometime end January, but i dont think in Beijing will be as cool as in Harbin... especially the dryness i need some tips of how to overcome such a dry weather coz i have experienced how my noise suffered.

Thank you very much for your reply.

At this time of last year, two of my VT friends come here from Austin, Texas, USA.They were ladies in their in their sixties. Both of them said that it was not as cold as what they thought.
It is -10c to -17c outside today according to the weather report.I think it is nice.It is about 20c inside the building, very warm.

Hi,

I am at Harbin now. The temp for the last 4 days were between -8 to -20 Deg C. It is getting colder day by day. Reported temp around Xmas will be around -12 to - 24 Deg C.

The coldest period for Harbin is around mid Jan to mid Feb where the normal temp range is between -18 to -29 Deg C. On certain freak days, it can get as cold as -35 Deg C.

Another thing to remember is the wind chill factor. When it blows, the temp can drop by another 5 to 10 Deg C.

Very warm clothing is a must plus all the necessary ear muff, woolen scarf, gloves and winter boots.
