I am aware that I have to book somekind of external tour with the hotel to venture out from the Bintan resorts area.
Tanjung Ubai seems nearer. Would this be a good place to go for a day tour. Or could someone advice which area is near and would be ideal for a day tour i.e. we would prefer places with pasar malaams etc. How far is Tanjung Pinang from the resorts? Thank you. |

Tanjung Pinang is just a sleeping village. There nothing much exciting to see. You'll be there are plenty of land but no development as Tanjung Pinang is not a free trade zone, unlke Batam. Most Riau residents have shifted to Batam to earn a living or set up a business there. However,you can consider sight-seeing to see how it looks like. But u will require to charter a van. remember don't chartered in bintan as its gonna be in sing dollar.
