Hi There,

I will be travelling to Cape Town in January, can you tell me if i need a visa being a tourist, im coming from the UK. What are the immigration procedures once i arrive in Cape Town.?

If by "coming from the UK" you mean you are a British citizen, you can enter S. Africa without a visa for a stay of up to 90 days as a tourist. Immigration procedures are like anywhere else, you queue up for passport control and should get a stamp in your passport to start the 90 days running.
If you aren't a British citizen, you need to specify your nationality before anyone can advise you on visa situation, or better still, contact the S. African Embassy in London in case this isn't up to date:

Make sure your passport has at least 2 blank pages. Other than that it is much the same as entering Heathrow. South Africa is a member of the "Commonwealth"

As Gerald says, South Africa is part of the Commonwealth, so South Africans visiting the UK don't need a visa, and vica versa. There is a time limit though.
