visit Freiburg for the end of the year

Hi.
I' am plannig a short trip for the"end of the year" by car from Genoa in Italy.
We are looking for a nice and funny location for this short holiday.
We love to go for discos and clubs.
Is a good period to visit Freiburg or is it an empty city for holidays?

Don' worry, although many of the students leave for christmas break, vice versa all the young Freiburger are returning home, so there will be a lot of party and many folks around. For dates and locations, check http://fudder.de or http://freiburg.subculture.de
