i am supposed to be going to Tunisia to do some training in January and from what iv read im dreading it, i know its a beautiful country but i was looking forward to the nightlife and i hear for females its not too good, i love dancing specially salsa so are there no salsa clubs there WHAT SO EVER??? please help

Would you consider Raq Sharqi (belly dancing) whilst your in Tunisia? they have great dancers in the middle east.

That may be so, but you are moving to an entirely different culture; you cannot expect things to be exactly the same.

Belly-dancing would be an excellent thing to learn whilst you're there; it would really improve your salsa/reggaethon.

Hi..I believe that there are Hotels which have clubs and provide music with dance floor for residents & also guests.But these Hotels can be far out to reach and need your own car.
I propose that once you are there check out with a trusted local or ask with your Hotel reception the best places you should go.I recommend that you visit always in a group & also can take with you your favourite salsa CD's so the DJ can play it up for you.

You have to give more details. It is really important to know the city you are heading to???
If it is tunis, then choices are limited. You can find a lot of places, where to go, some nice places are available downtown and a lot of solo/group of westerners go there. If you want more choice you have to leave downtown, have a taxi or car, and head to Gammarth or at least to Soukra.
If you are going to hammamet or sousse then tehre is no problem at all. There is a big range of discos. DOn't worry about being a girl, fro two reasons:
- You will notice that the hassle is annoying (sometimes is so annoying) but not dangerous (relatively :p)
- I am sure you will meet a lot of other people and you will very quickly have your parties network (unless you re not so gifted with making new friends)

Glad you're pleased about the club. I know nothing of Tunisian prices but quite a lot about salsa/reggaethon (being a bit keen myself) so I just googled for you!

I have been to Tunisia and back, also went to the surrounding areas. i have never felt so safe on a night. people are so friendly there they smile and welcome you. i am going back in july for 18 days and i cannot wait.
