hi there fellow travelers, can anyone recomend any hotels on the island.have tried to e mail a few, but as yet have had no joy thanks peter.

Samothraki has very limited tourism and only in summer. There are no big hotels, but mainly rooms for rent in local houses. If there are some small hotels, I am sure they are closed for winter. For winter and spring season, the best you have to do is to go there without booking and the locals will guide you what to do. Be sure you will find accomodation, as most such businesses are run by locals. For summer, you can try to book on April or May. If you need anyway some contact, try Tourist Police in Alexandroupoli or Tourism Office of Evros Prefecture or Travel Agencies in Alexandroupolis.
