Hi,
I'm a 20 years old student from Québec and I'm planning to go to Banff for 2 months with my boyfriend to improve my english. It will be in March and April 2008 and I want to know wich activities I should do, which type of accommodation should I choose (we have a little budget)and give me any advise that can help me to prepare a great trip.

Hi Are you looking for work whilst you are there? Why I ask whilst we were there in June this year I was speaking with the reception at the resort we stayed and the girls working there came from all over the world, they most likely had accommodation provided by the resort, there were many young men and girls working there. Should you wish to contact them there web address is on my accommodation tip.

2 months is a long time, there will be plenty of snow, I guess hiking will be limited by the weather. Have a look at my Banff , Canmore and Lake Louise pages, you might see something that appeals. The big city of Calgary is approx 2 hours drive and Jasper 3 hours away.

When I was in Banff I stayed at the youth hostel (HI-Banff Alpine Centre) and really enjoyed it. On their Website they offer packages for job seekers so I thought you might be interested (just click on the Packages section in the menu: http://www.hihostels.ca/PM/957/hi-banff+alpine+centre_hi-banff+alpine+centre.hostel). You should also know that there are A LOT of people from Quebec in Banff so it's gonna take a bit more effort to practice your English, but it should be a great experience nonetheless.
