Does anyone know if the constuction at the San Cristobal airport is complete?

As of November 12 my cruise company emailed me, "We still don't know for sure if San Cristobal airport is going to be opened, we think it will be opened by that time, but please reconfirm this information with us around Dec 2nd."

Of couse the opening has been "imminent" for months. I'll let you know if I hear anything further.

I was planning on speding the 4 days prior to the cruise exploring aroudn San Cristobal, and had just paid for my hotel room there b/f thinking to ask the question about the airport being finished. I just booked a room on Santa Cruz - a little disappointed, but still excited to see the animals... Hope you have a nice cruise as well!

I spoke to my cruise operator today and they said SCY is still closed. He has no idea when it will open, nor why it's been closed for so much longer than predicted.

I just spoke to someone is San Cristobal, and the airport is opening on 24 December. Of course, it could be delayed again, but that's the latest.
