Fresno Fresno Dinner Suggestions

I'll be in Fresno for one night next week and would like to have a nice dinner in a lively place. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place to eat that is lively and relatively sophisticated without being cheesy? Or some place fun and local. Any thoughts?

The last time i was in Fresno, I had a mean turkey pie at a diner near the bus station. It wasn't sophisticated, lively, or cheesy but it was certainly local. Of course, that was in 1974, they may have changed the menu since then.

Just a thought.
