| Devonport | Public transport to Devonport Ferry from Takapuna Beach Holiday Park Posted: Thu November 29, 2007 11:16 PM UTC
Do buses or taxis run from the Holiday Park to the ferry that goes from Devonport to Auckland? We are from the U.S. and don't know diddly about NZ. Thanks.

I hope this helps .The Transport Centre in the middle of Takapuna (This is walking distance from the beach ) is the bus terminal for public buses to the northern suburbs and Devonport. Bus 813 goes to Devonport every 15 minutes (every 30 minutes on Sundays). To the city centre, the bus stop is on Burns Avenue one block from the Spencer on Byron Hotel. Bus routes 82–89 go to the city, where they turn along Quay Street and up Albert Street as far as Aotea Square. They operate every 15 minutes until late evening, take about 20 minutes, and cost approximately NZ$3 (AU$2.50). Day passes covering all trains, buses, and ferries cost NZ$10–$15 (AU$12.60). A taxi to the city centre is NZ$25–$30 (AU$21–$25).
Auckland Domain – 9.5 km Devonport historic seaside suburb – 4.5 km...you get the ferry to Auckland from here.
