I would like to ask if there will be some special event on 9 December, Sunday? Is it possible to make shopping on Sunday?

During December, shops in Rheinland-Pfalz are closed on Sundays.
Sorry.

Shops are closed all over Germany every sunday all year long. There are special exceptions given a few times a year, and in Nordrhein-Westfalen many are open on the 1st sunday in December (i.e. the 2nd of Dec). If Koblenz has such a special day on the 9th I do not know.

According to the list I found the 3 shopping Sundays this year in Koblenz have been held at
1. April 2007
16. September 2007
28. October 2007
and for next year they are at
16. March 2008
21. September 2008
26. October 2008

Thank you again... But we are only one day in Germany, previous day we are in Luxembourg and we will visit their Christmas market and also they will have antique market on that Saturday ;-)

Maybe it is a misunderstanding in the way you wrote it, but Luxembourg is not in Germany. It is in Luxembourg. It is a small, independant county with Luxembourg city being the capital.

It is a misunderstanding. I know that Luxembourg is a a separate country, and that Luxembourg City is in Luxembourg. My reply was due to her mentioning that they would be in Luxembourg the day before they are to visit Koblenz. Gary
