Hi

Does anyone know of any hot air ballooning opportunities around Punta Arenas or Ushuaia?

I will be there in Feb/March

I've never hot air ballooned and you probably couldn't pay me to do it in Ushuaia or most of Patagonia. There are pretty good cross winds in Patagonia. So much so that when my flight landed there and in El Calafate the plane had to over compensate for the winds by turning and landing at an odd angle. Feb/Mar is late summer early fall and fall comes very early in Patagonia.

Starting at $2,000.00! Ouch! Pretty spendy.

The weather in Ushuaia is not the same than in other part of the south american continent, and fhe wind is very strong and impredictable, so, if you dont want to land in the ocean, maybe its better to imagine something different...Remember that Ushuaia is a harbour, but its too a skying area...
