Seven days in Belgium

I will spend six or seven days in Belgium in december...can anyone to advise me which places must see and who are the most interesting and strange places and things to do ?? I mean carstic phenomens....or something very interesting to see ...Thank you very much in advance !

Thank you so much for your replay...I meant for the term of carstic some natural phenomens , made under the intervention of the wind or of the water ....I want to go between the towns with the most cheapest way....Ty for your replay....:)

Brugges is a must see - especially places like the Benguinage. If you are into history (unfortunately not very happy history), a trip to the Flanders Fields is very interesting. This is where major World War I battles took place and where the famoous poem "In Flanders Fields" was penned. Ieper is also very interesting to visit - it also deals with World War I.

I recommend a different sort of waffle a day. ;-)

But I don't know how well the public transport will be. Probably there is a route to these places on the website.
You can always check
http://www.nmbs.be and choose English for the trainschedules in Belgium.

As for the cities mentioned above, they are all great and you can easily travel from one to the other at cheap rate. Trains are very cheap in Belgium.

Maybe if you are here in December you might and you like Xmas atmosphere I could recomend you Brussels and Liege.

Old city of Liege lies in the valley of the Meuse and you can make a nice walk in the surounding hills on a special walking trail (you get a little map at the tourist information desk) with a beautiful view on the city.
