Hello and assalam alaykum, folks!

Can you please share with me any knowledge about cheap hotels/hostels (I mean about or less 50 USD per person) in Dubai? if there are such, have they web address? I have difficulties to find any such address. :(

Many thanks for any suggestions and have a nice day!

Check my deal page, it has both Hostels for Dubai and Sharjah. The price is below 30$ in both places and the URL is as follows:

Good luck.

Hello from Dubai,

as Amir said, there is only 1 youth hostel in Dubai.
There are many "no-star" hotels, but general rule in Dubai is: the cheaper the hotel, the worse the area and the higher the likelyhood of prostitutes in the hotel.

Dubai unfortunately isn't a destination for budget travellers.

It's not only the girls and the poor area but the 'budget' hotels themselves often have cleanliness problems.

Hi Dear,

In dubai the reasonable hotel will be aound atleast US$125.00 per night.
I am travlleing to Dubai from jan 27 to Feb 2 for business meetings,my planned budget is around US$100-150 per night, but it looks impossible to find good place at this range.i am also the member a couple hotel groups which I use during my tour to bangkok, but the prices are much higher than bangkok. Ah,Now I remember bangkok...
The best solution is" One should have a rich gf/bf in dubai to stay with her/him and save the expensive hotel money there".

Prices of hotel are kissing the sky in Dubai..

Cheers

The cheapest I found was La merieden for $135. I tried to make reservations this week. I have friends and family deal but still EXPENSIVE $145 USD with the discount I receive. I travelled many places and I found hotels in dubai to be the most expensive of all.
But I am looking forward to the GOLD SUK! and so on ! ! Cheers!

Thanks to all a lot! Now I see that I probably will have to set sights to Yemen - much cheaper and more Arabic. I'm not so rich to hang around UAE. :)

Let me clear up what I mean about the pricing:
I found $135 hotels over the internet.
But for Sheraton and other westin Hotels I found $145 with family and friends rate where I used to get it $55-$78 in Paris/Frankfurt/amsterdam/Atlanta because the discount is 50% and more.
I am not rich either but after reading the horriable reviews of some hotels, it is worth to save until then:-)
Have fun

Thanks, Rahelnaomi!

Well, then I will have to save really hard, as in Latvia average wage is about 500-600 usd a month and so many (maybe majority, I fear) earn much less. Alright, many young people (myself including) are capable to earn considerably more but still it's not a piece of cake to throw away 100+ usd a day. :)

Nils has pointed out something that we often explain to people here on VT - whether Dubai is expensive or not depends where you come from. For him it is very expensive, but for Britons, for example, it's incredibly cheap.

Been in the same situation few months ago, eagerly looking for the possibly cheapest place to stay in dubai.. been receiving a lot of advices from this forum, but none of them answers directly the inquiry..

Found them myself when I reached Dubai and happy to share to all who'll need to travel and visit Dubai looking for comfortable but safe and good place to stay.. For as low as 50 USD per night for single room and 55 USD for double room.

Marhaba Deira Hotel - Very near FISH ROUND ABOUT, DEIRA. Behind Al Maktoum Hospital, Al Nakheel Road. Take a cab, say DEIRA fish round about and drop off. You can see Montreal Hotel in which the Marhaba in just 20 steps away from it.

Please call ahead for you could find all backpack travellers there. It is a one star hotel, please expect to see what a one star could offer. I make sure Marhaba offers very reasonable price but, does NOT include to hotels tagged by others like "where if there is a cheap hotel, expect the worst in terms of location, prostitutions, service, etc." The service is very basic but, good for a 1-star. Transport is an excuse, where from the days I stayed in here in Dubai, all locations are worst when in comes of catching a taxi. But, DEIRA fish round about is a GREAT Location for me.

Telepono: +971 4 2218080

I found many that offers cheap prices actually, even guesthouses! Dunno why these are not available yet from the search options since what I expect Dubai to be one of the most travelled locations and many should have advices to give. I need time to post them all here in VT. Found in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. THERE ARE A LOT! Cheap but safe, basic, and most of all where all travellers are.

Have a nice trip to Dubai!

Forgot to mention that this Hotel gave us a room (double room) for 200 Dhs per night / around 55 USD. I asked and they offer 180 Dhs for single room. and this rate applies during an air show event right after cityscape where I consider a peak season for hotels in dubai.

You can also try montreal hotel, but they charge aroound 400 AED.

You're most welcome! Anyway, forgot to mention that if this Marhaba Deira is fully booked, you may try:

1.) Marhaba Hotel (Near Gold Land Shopping Mall, +971 4 2257766),
2.) Marhaba Beach Hotel (Near Bel Houl Hospital, +971 4 2711717) and
3.) Marhaba Inn Hotel (Near Gold Souq, +971 4 2255133)

Marhaba is a Hotel Group in four (4) locations in and around Dubai. Best of LUCK!
