Harwich - Esberg then by road (car, bus) to Copenhagen. We did it in reverse but had our own car with us so, sorry I do not have details of public transport options You could try Googling Denmark Bus. The crossing is quite a long one - overnight.Hope this helps.

Hello again - I should have said that we went into Germany via DFDS Ferry Harwich - Hamburg , subsequently took ferry from Puttgarden to Radby then drove to Copenhagen.
I have just looked at my rail map and it looks as though there is a mainline rail service from Radby to Copenhagen. So that part of the journey should be OK for you.

Train London Liverpool Street to Harwich. Ferry Harwich-Esbjerg. Train Esbjerg-Copenhagen.
Or... Eurostar train from London St. Pancras to Brussels. Further trains to Hamburg. The train from Hamburg to Copenhagen is a through service and is ferried across from Puttgarden to Rödby.

By train there are basically three options:
1) Eurostar to Brussel, night train to Hamburg, EC train to Koebenhhavn. The EC train gets ferried across at Puttgarden. 2) Eurostar to Brussel, Thalys to Köln, night train to Koebenhavn. This trip doesn't involve any ferries at all... 3) Eurostar to Brussel (early in the morning), Thalys to Köln, IC to Hamburg, ICE to Koebenhavn. This is the fastest connection, and you arrive in Koebenhavn in the evening. option 2) is probably the cheapest, as you can get a cheap "sparnight" on the night train, and there are often interesting combined Eurostar - Thalys deals available on London - Köln.

Hi Edelwiess!
The website of Die Bahn (the German Railways): http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en The plan of Brussels Medi (Bruselles Medi in French): http://www.b-rail.be/nat/E/assets/downloads/brux_midi_angl.pdf Remember at do you write the letters oe in København instead of the letter ø. Copenhagen in Danish is København. Jesper
