Will it be possible - well, in fact will it be easy to get accomodation during this time - or do some hotels close for a week or so after the New Year.
Please let me know (I may be looking for a single for myself. |

at 7th many tourists will be gone and the so-called January-gap is a well-known fact, BUT only a very few hotels (maybe 3%)will close for a few days !

You can be quite sure to find all hotels open in Innsbruck in January. The so-called January gap was only valid for typical skiing resorts in January (and thei had always all hotels open then but offered reduced rates). But the January gap is history since the Russians are a relevant fraction of winter tourists in Austria - their X-mas is two weeks later than ours which closes the gap and most hotels even have top-season rates in January.
