Take a look at the Bergen pages here on VT - you'll find lots of restaurant tips..
Fast food places? Well, you'll find both Burger King and McDonald's in the city centre...but you should be able to find cheaper meals elsewhere, places like Burger King aren't that cheap in Norway... For lunch, I'd recommend Vågen Fetevare - yummy sandwiches, and pretty cheap! (More info on my Bergen page.) There are lots of Chinese / Thai / Vietnamese restaurants in the town centre, many have affordable "lunch menus"... If you'd like some *Norwegian* food you might want to try the very affordable fish burgers / fish soups / fish cakes at Søstrene Hagelin or Madam Bergen (again; more info on my Bergen page)
