Buffalo Restaurants Near Amtrak Buffalo Depew
Posted: Fri November 23, 2007 02:43 PM UTC
We have 3 hours to wait on a Saturday before boarding our Amtrak train and would like to have a leisurely lunch near the station. Google shows Kelly & Co. virtually across the street. Can anyone comment as to what type of restaurant it is? Can we "lug our luggage" from the restaurant to the Amtrak station? A bit further away is Skaros Family Restaurant on Walden Avenue and St. Angelos and Hearthstone manor on Dick Road. Comments or alternative suggestions please?

Jades in Depew. GEt the Beef on Weck sandwhich a local favorite.
4495 Broadway, DePew, NY 14043 · 716-683-5054
Very close to the Depew station.

Heaping plates of comfort food and an accomodating bar keep the natives from growing restless at Jade's laid-back digs. You'll find local specialties, like the roast beef on weck and chicken wings – of course! – on the menu in addition to the standard pub grub. A pool table, darts and video games allow patrons to stay for hours without growing bored.

This is exactly what I was looking for but, horrors of horrors, I will be passing through on a Saturday with my Amtrak departure one half hour after the restaurant opens at 2:00 p.m. It will definitely be on my agenda for next trip, so thanks for your response. What would your second choice be?
