Hi,

I am travelling from Paris to Mannheim by bus. I reach mannheim at 04:45 at
"MANNHEIM Am Friedensplatz, Parkplatz hinter dem ADAC"

Can someone please tell me, how far is the nearest train station from the above place, so that I can catch a train to travel further to heidelberg. Is it safe at 04:45 hour to wait at the above mentioned place?

VRN tariff applies if you use local public transport. Single ticket is EUR 4,60. This is a zone-to-zone ticket. The ticket is good to travel to any train/tram/bus stop in Heidelberg.

Are you absolutely sure the bus will arrive at Friedensplatz? The bus station was moved about two weeks ago. The new bus station is right next to the train station. It looks very nice, a lot better than the old one. As far I know all buses - except for the local ones - arrive and depart from the new station now.

Deutsche Touring (= Eurolines Germany) write that the "Am Friedensplatz" stop was only in use by them till 31. Oct. 2007. Thus I think to 99% your bus will arrive at the new ZOB (central bus station) at the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) as christine.j wrote.

I actuslly have a question for you. I am visiting my sister in Mannheim but I am flying to Paris, where could I find information for the bus? I am looking to fing the cheapest way there so I aprecciate your help. Thank you!

However I would check first if you cannot get one of the train specials for EUR 39,00. Much more comfortable and faster.
