Hi
My parents are travelling to bergamo airport and wanted to know the best way to get to lake magiorre and whether it would be better to stay in bergamo for a few days before going . |

Hi,
Bergamo is my city so perhaps I am biased... but I think it's worth visitiing, the upper old town is very nice and romantic. They will enjoy typical regional food and beautiful sights. They can reach Varenna by train, doing this: 1) reach Bergamo train station by bus from the airport (i think it will take 15 minutes); 2) take the train to Lecco (30/40 minutes) 3) take another train to Varenna (30 minutes) to have a look at the trains timetable and costs: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html I think you should have a look at Bergamo's VT pages to see if it's really worth visiting it (as I think) Regards, Sergio
