I see there are several stops in Bohinj.

1. Which one takes me closest to the sights and lake?

2. How can I reach Vogel please? (or any scenic ski resort there)

There are 4 stops:

Bohinj Jezero - it is at the lower part of the lake
Pod Voglom - few hundred metres from the first stop
Zicnica Vogel krizisce - at the cable stop to Vogel
Bohinj Zlatorog - at the top of the lake, near Savica waterfall

Everything is within 2 km.

Tanja, you say Savica w/f: takes about an hour pleasant walk from Ukanc.

But isn'r Ukanc the stop for cable to Vogel?

And then you say everything is within 2 kms!! So, why does the falls from Ukanc take an hour?

Do pardon my ignorance about the terrain/layout!

Yes,the stop for cable is in Ukanc but official name is Zicnica.
But isn'r Ukanc the stop for cable to Vogel?

If you want to reach the falls,you have to go up the hill.

Look, people there are very nice and everybody speak English.So don't worry
about the stops and distances. Just enjoy and in case of trouble ask the locals
for advice.
