| Ayuthaya | Package tour to Ayuthaya Posted: Mon November 19, 2007 02:51 AM UTC
Hi,
We (3 adults and 1 small child) are planning to visit Ayuthaya from BKK. Can anyone suggest us a good package tour to Ayuthaya. We intend to do a day trip. Thanks, |

Just take the bus or train, it is after all only about an hour - 1,5 from Bangkok. And the buses drop you of in the centre of Ayuthaya. There you can easily arrange any transport (bike, tuk-tuk, taxi, boat tour, etc) you like

There are plenty of options for a package tour, I would suggest you take one that has the return journey on the river onboard teh Pearl of Siam. They serve a very good bufet lunch on the boat and you get to see some interesting sights along the Chao Phraya River on the 4 hour trip back to the city.

you can hire a taxi driver and he can spend all day visiting more than 12 temples in Ayuthaya. Going with a tour you will only see 4 or 5.
If you want you can contact the guide we used and she has many taxi drivers that she knows that can carry you there. We payed only 200bht for a full day including gas and we could visit more than 12 temples. look at my Bangkok page and search for Nok, the guide we used in BKK
