Cruising to St Petersburg in June 2008. Looking for shore excursions sources other than the cruise ship offer. Been referred to DENRUS (www.denrus.ru) & PETROGRAD TRAVELS.
Has anyone booked tours with them? Interested in your experiences and recommendations, especially reliability, integrity, satisfaction, etc. |

Apropos Cruise... Are you familiar with Russian river cruises?
Traditionally, many European companies (Germany and east of it) offer these for about a quarter of the price they are being sold in the USA. Typical price for a major river cruise as it is being sold in Europe or Russia itself is about 1000 - 1500 Euro. For a web site with a lot of infomation - also about agencies the kind you are looking for - you may look www.waytorussia.com - it is not just about the visa service. Apropos visa: as far as I know, there is a short-term permit for visitors aboard of cruise ships. But I would just in case - get one in advance in the States.
