hi Gary, see the previous posting where PJ gave the link:
http://www.eindhovenwinterstad.nl/

Ice sculptures: 8 Dec- 6 Jan (location Keizersgracht)
Skating Rink: location Markt (dates are not mentioned)
Snow Ramp: in front of department store Bijenkorf (across from Central Station)
Christmas market: probably at Catharinaplein, but no dates mentioned

ATLC, Thank You. I may head your way if my travel partners can get some time away from work. I'd rather wait until the Keukenhof is in bloom, but they definitely can't get time off work then. I've only been to Amsterdam on day trips, so I haven't really seen much. Gary

Well, there's plenty off the beaten path destinations in NL that you can visit. I concentrate on those more than on Amsterdam (PJ does a much better job there anyway :-).

Haven't been to Keukenhof myself. Not looking forward to queues.

HaHa. I'm not overly fond of the ticket lines either. That's why I did most of my travels in late fall, or winter. I once travelled on a "Wine Train" from Mannheim to the Rhine River Valley in Germany. When we arrived, and the boat was opened for boarding, an hour late, everyone made a mad dash for the gate, and an older German women was pushed into the Rhine. We ended up having 3 or 4 really drunk people chasing her downstream, trying to throw her a life preserver, or a rope. The current was so fast, we would have added to the problem if we had jumped in after her. Needless to say, I sobered up very, very quickly. Gary

Since they had the preservers and ropes at the gate it must of happened previously. Gary

I started to apologize for getting the thread off topic, but then realized I'm the one who started the thread. I would accept my own apology however. Gary

My travel pages are not coming along with any speed. I have done 2 tips so far, lol. A lot of my pictures have started showing their age. I guess I'll have to start travelling again, and remedy that situation. Gary

Carin, I'm not sure if I will come this year or not. Looks like the late April to early May is probably a better time. Gary
