Hi can anyone tell me is the park plaza close to things in the city centre i.e walking distance? also if anyone has any info on the christmas markets in eindhoven, what are they like and again if they are close to city centre/easy accessible.

This is a work in progress. I assume you are speaking of the Mandarin Park Plaza Hotel, and not the Parkzicht Hotel as they are 2 very different entities. If your hotel is the Mandarin Park Plaza, they do have a site on the web. The hotel does seem to be well located. I'm still working on the Christmas Market. I can find some info, but it isn't helpful. Gary

Christmas market in Eindhoven:
Saturday 15 december 16-22 hrs
Sunday 16 december 10-16 hrs
50 stalls and various choirs performing.
Location: Sterkenburg 616 (that's just outside Eindhoven (southwest), direction Veldhoven, not walkable, take a bus)

Christmas flea market
Sunday 23 december 9-16 hrs
80 stalls
Location: Ardechelaan (north of the city center, not walkable, take a bus)

NOT Correct! its in Eindhoven, district Genderbeemd, by foot 30 min or take bus 10 min from the station.

Park Plaze is 3 min walk to the Catharinaplein where the Christmas Market will be held for the first time.
Just walk out the hotel go to the right and go the first street to the right called Stratumseind at the end of this street will be the Christmas market and the Catharinachruch, cant miss it

Oops, I meant outside Eindhoven city center. I think, when I looked it up, I had zoomed in the map too wide :-)
Distance between Park Plaza and Sterkenburg 616 is 5 kms (by car).
