Hi!
I plan to stay a week or so in Tioman but I can't decide Telek or Salang. Is anybody stayed at Swiss Cottage in Telek? I prefer quit sandy beaches. I checked several web sites but they are a bit confusing. Some of them say the monsoon is over by the end of January other say in mid of March. My plan is end of March and the fisrt half of April. Does anyobody has an experience for this period? Thankx |

HI!
The weather pattern is changing these days and these couple of years we are seeing the shortening of the monsoon months. Traditionally, the monsoon is supposed to be over only till late Feb but hence the "elastic" periods you noticed. I've never stayed at the Swiss Cottage in Tekek but I did went by them a couple of time. It's near the pier, so it's facing the sea (though depending on where you're staying). Seems to be rather popular. There are some grocery shops and restaurants around the lodging as well.
