Re: El Toula restaurant Posted: Mon November 12, 2007 12:14 PM UTC
We know both these restaurants very well. El Toula is expensive but worth every penny. Try to reserve a window seat - fabulous view across Cortina. It is set on three separarte floors and there's even a red carpet from the car park to the front door. It's a little too far to walk from the centre of town but it's only 5 minutes by taxi.
La Tavernetta is within walking distance of town, on the same road as the Ice Rink. It, too, has an excellent menu (try their beef fiorentina. It is not as expensive as El Toula but the latter does have the edge.
At El Toula you won't get much change out of 100 euros per person(incl. wine)
La Tavernetta will probably stand you in about 70 euros per person.
I also reccommend Ristorante Pontegel on Largo delle Poste.
